Formerly known as the Wellington Sport and Recreation Awards, this regional event has celebrated sporting achievements across the wider Wellington region for over 40 years. In 2024, Nuku Ora is thrilled to partner with Iwi partners, Te Rūnanganui o Te Āti Awa and Te Rūnanga o Toa Rangatira, who join as naming rights sponsors for the awards taking place on the 24 October 2024!
The Āti Awa Toa Wellington Regional Sports Awards is a night of celebration, networking, and recognition. Featuring 12 award categories that recognise sporting excellence, the event also includes special awards created by the Iwi to celebrate individuals who embody manaakitanga and leadership in our community.
