The Wellington Regional Play Network
The Wellington Regional Play Network is a collective of whānau, stakeholders, and partners united by a shared vision to cultivate a play-friendly environment across Te Whanganui-a-Tara ki Wairarapa. Our mission is to ensure tamariki have access to high-quality play experiences by collaborating to create a region where play is at the heart of community life. The Tākaro Pou Tarāwaho framework, developed by and for our region, elevates the voices of whānau, tamariki, and partners, guiding us to design spaces where play can flourish in all its forms. Together, we are dedicated to raising awareness, expanding knowledge, and fostering a deeper understanding of the critical role tākaro plays in a child’s development, while celebrating the unique spirit of play that defines our regions.
