Wairarapa Senior Regional Games
The annual Wairarapa Senior Regional Games will be held on Thursday 10 April 2025 at the Trust House Recreation Centre in Masterton. Don't delay and register now!
The event encourages older adults to participate in light-exercise sports and activities such as taonga tākaro, indoor bowls, group fitness, pickleball, dancing, chair exercises, Pilates, table tennis, badminton and aqua aerobics (so bring your togs and towel if you'd like to do a class).
For some, it's an opportunity to try new sports and activities while for others, it's a chance to participate in activities they already know and love; and for most, it's an opportunity to connect and enjoy a morning filled with fun and laughter.
The Senior Regional Games isn't a competitive event – it's all about having fun and focusing on what our bodies can do, not what they can’t. It helps kaumātua to build confidence and celebrate physical activity, no matter their age, fitness, or physical ability.
